im still out on vacation - - but thought this 'opera wig' that was requested by this darling little mama (daughter of stephanie nielson) is the cutest christmas present I ever ever heard of - - i hope when we have littles they are that creative with their christmas wishes.

speaking of fashion I am going out of my brain at how fabulous this carolina herrara pre-fall dress is ... I mean if I were able to sneak into a white house dinner ... this would be my dress.

FASHION IS PAIN LADIES

yes I realize that its made for a golf bag and well i dont golf - nor plan on golfing in the near future - so does that make me wierd that I totally want this umbrella? how cute would it be to walk around with it? how cute and well how wet of course! fashion is pain ladies!

im trying really hard to go to a happy place as I cram 900 things into these last two days before we take our holiday break in sunny california. I think one of these houses on the top of giant manhattan buildings would do ... im sure they have some yummy cookies and a hot bath that would make me feel very happy.

these are amazeballs ... artist kristin wicklund dips cotton lace into porcelain and then fires them and the cotton burns off leaving these beauties! i love how they are displayed in this show in manhattan.

A ROUGH MORNING

Ive been in the office all morning and I was sitting here realizing I heard a cartoon playing on the TV in the living room, which seemed odd since I only have a full grown man and dog living in my home ... so I popped out there to see what was going on and found this - - obviously it was a rough morning of um well sleeping and watching tv (hehe)

THEY TOOK 900 YEARS

... oh and the place cards turned out really really darling - they took 900 years to make but atleast I had good help.

BADABADA BLING

last night was the old work party - - it was so dang fun (always is!) alas I didnt find the perfect dress so I settled for a fabulous purple silk top, sequin cardi, black skirt, green kicks and some badabada bling (earrings courtesey of the grandmas collection) which was quickly traded for sweatpants and a tshirt upon arriving back at the hotel :0)

2 HAPPY THINGS

WOOT WOOT - - 2 happy things happened today ... first the little brother in law returned from his great mission of 2 years for our church and 2nd the shop had its 900th order! okay its obviously more important about the brother in law but well 900 is pretty amazingness.

IM NOT SO CHILL

if ever i planned to be an axe murderer (im not so chill) but if i was i dont see any reason i shouldnt have a beautiful axe right? these are made by Best Made Axe (fitting) and they are so lovely, amazing what a few stripes of color can do to a tool.

SORRY KATE

mr. coberly usually gets me a new purse every year for christmas but this year we are doing a joint gift (sigh) so I will have to save my pennies to buy my own little something something lovely - - im leaning towards either the larch bag or the lynx bag from etsy seller valhalla ... arent they beautiful? and so one of a kind (sorry kate I might have to dump you this year) im leaning towards the larch but in a cognac color - - jig. had a really good year so I deserve it dang it (thats right scrooge keep telling yourself that you should spent money on yourself this year)

oh and speaking of ... I may or may not have purchased this print for myself/future child (may or may not, but leaning toward may as in 'its in the mail') I just couldnt pass it up and with etsy artists you just never know if they are going to be around for long and look at it! its so cute - and its called barthomew feeling bold - - i just love it :0) merry christmas to me.

sorry so much baby talk - - its just knowing that were going home for christmas to see the family always makes me prep myself for the questions of why we dont have a little bambino yet -- maybe if someone asks me a question i will just hold up this print and plead the 5th

KNIT ME UP A STORM

dang. I really need to learn to knit - - look at this book I NEED! maybe darling lucinda will buy it and knit me up a storm of clothing for a baby that isnt even a twinkle in my eye? hehe.

WEAR A TSHIRT UNDER IT

i have 5 holiday parties coming up this december - - for fun! I have been searching and searching for just the perfect dress for our big blow out work party this thursday and so far no dice homespice ... gah! im sure ill just end up wearing something out of the closet (no use in buying a dress i dont love) ... so I bought some cute green satin heels just in case i have to resort to one of the 900 little black dresses i own already.

** wish I had this dress I saw on this is glamorous ... course i would have to wear a tshirt under it but hey sacrifices!

FULLY UNSELFISH GIFT

so heres the thing ... you have a fun person to buy for, lets just say for giggles its well ME - - and you are racking your brain as to what I need/want/lust after (and believe me it has nothing to do with the crazy vampire extravaganza that I would like to ring the neck of) and then you happen upon my second favorite store (second only to jcrew where I spend my life savings), and you happen upon my first favorite book on my christmas list - - TADA problem solved (for under $30 I might add) besides as far as Im concerned this is a fully unselfish gift, I plan to have many great adventures under sheet tents with my future children where we will discover the giant octopus on the cover and how he came to get his name.
